when i plug my elgato into my pc with the usb connection a bubble poops up saying{the last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it

i think its my computer thats the problum not the elgato software
xbox 360 and i have done all that all it is is when i plug the elgato in a bubble poops up on my homescreen saying that it malfunctioned and windows doesnt recognise it so its my computer thats stopping it i looked up videos on how to fix it and one lad went into device manager and then
clicked on sound,video and game controllers and elgato came up and he uninstalled it then re installed it but when i went to do it elgato didnt come up for me
This is a device issue, not a computer issue. If it was a computer issue it would not say anything at all. Try another USB port, does it need an activation key? Email their support
