Hello,
my PC
  • Intel core i5 6500 3.2 ghz
  • 16 gb dual chanel 1066mhz (14 -14 -14-35 )
  • Asrock b150-x1
-3 gb nvidia gtx 1060
-223 gb kingston ssd
- 232 gb samsung 860 evo

My monitor is for graphic design - dell u2311h 60hz. But i am also a gamer. I am playing right now the new Apex legends. I want to buy a new monitor - Asus vg248qe . Can my Pc handle 144 hz ? Is it worth to buy it ? I am playing everything on low settings. Should I buy new cpu or video card or something...cause I want to play on this monitor.
Thank you

A GTX1060 (3 GB) card is not really known for being able to sustain 144 FPS in many modern games at 1080P, and as Apex Legends is fairly new, I'd be surprised if the 6500 can handle it either... (THere might be some typical APex CPU-scaling frame rates encountered with assorted CPUs out so you know if the 6500 is up to the task.

As long as you don't mind turning down settings then 144hz should be fine but you can test this with your current monitor by disabling vsync and using a FPS counter to see what you'll get FPS wise.

As for the VG248QE it's a decent monitor but there's better options out there now.
