hello i recently noticed there is a delay on properties of txt and folders properties tab appearing also some times icons just flash to white blank page like the hosts file is for example and when i navigate to windows explorer it takes for ever to show the content of a partition or and hdd in general showing a green loading bar in the root directory like it would if i was indexing an item in my computer,i have a wipe clean install of win 8 and updated to 8.1 too,also i used once iobit aso pro 7 for a scan,what would be the reason for that kind of delays,ive allread scanned for viruses etcetc im positive the machine is clean and it will proly be one of the boost settings i customized for the speed up with aso pro 7 i just would like to know which kind of windows aspect tampering would cause that kind of delay ive also scaned disks defraged 1 for the last month and scanned registry too!nothing is missing and everything operates as should besides this incidents all else is good!

I've seen Windows do this all the way back to XP. In most cases I've had personal experience with, it's a failing hard drive that is having trouble reading the index database...

Is this a standard hard drive? Or is this system on an SSD?

no its is not an ssd its a new hdd sata 3 and its the first time i put the os in that hdd i created a partition only for windows could is there any place or way i could see more closely what may cause this?
