Build Advice Hello - I was hoping to get some input on my 'white' build ?

alright so I'm all set now? no issues at all with this build ? 😀 😀
and I got a 1tb 990 samsung for windows and a 2tb for gaming

so someone just let me know I was an idiot for not going PCIE 5.0 ssd for OS .. 500gb of that..
and then 2tb for gaming on the pcie 4 slot

In real world usage, gen 5 does nothing for a gaming rig. I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah don´t worry about it , in "real world" tests the first gen of these 5.0 drives
was not that much faster than the best pcie 4.0 drives at random reads and writes .
unless you are doing huge data transfers on a daily basis i wouldn´t worry about it

i recommend having a primary drive for windows and for most frequently used aplications and
the secondary for everything else .

Pre-Windows 10, I had the OS installed on a separate drive, as you tended to have to reinstall it every so often. Modern Windows seems much more stable so now I just use a larger drive for everything.

Yes OS on one drive, and games on the other. That's how I set my own systems up.
