So I'm having a bit of a problem at the moment. I just removed my GTX 780 for shipping and noticed my CPU stock fan is really really dusty (can't clean it, wasted all my cleaning spray in the GPU that I have to ship).

So now my PC is running on Intel Graphics, but the temperatures don't go below 90 and hover around 95-100... I can't remove the stock fan and clean it right now as I don't have new thermal paste to put on the CPU.

Is there anything I can do right now to solve my temperature problem? This doesn't seem very healthy for the CPU...

Solution
100C or 100F? Huge difference.

You don't really need cleaning spray. Use a toothrush or even papertowel to clean the fan blades if they are super dusty. Can even do an impression of the big bad wolf and huff and puff into the heatsink. Once the sink is cleaned the temps should drop.

Solution
100F leave the PC alone.
100C pull the plug dude!
and cleaning your heatsink doesn't need any cleaning spray.
Just take an old painting brush or something alike and use it to clean the dust between the fins of the heatsink.

Oh sorry, didn't specify F or C... Well meant Celsius, otherwise I wouldn't be panicking either.

It hasn't died on me yet, but I'm gonna try clean it with a (non static?) paintbrush if I can find one :).

Thanks!
