Anyone have an idea of what the go is with alien isolation? Apparently the game has issues with sli and there's a fix somewhere for it but i can't find it. Something about scaling issues i think? I have 3 way titans overclocked to 965mhz. All my other games boost up to this and stay around that mark all night long at around 60'c, but alien isolation after 20 seconds of playing throttles them back to 600mhz plummeting my frame rates to sub 30fps and they don't even hit 40'c. It's kinda weird and it's got me stumped at this point in the night. Maybe another coffee.

What resolution are you playing in? Do you actually NEED to use SLI? Have you tried using only a single card?

The GeForce forums report that any SLI causes stuttering. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/780519/alien-isolation-sli-profile/

Also, my god. That rig is hilariously and beautifully overpowered. I love it. Beautiful.

Whoops i didn't mean to pick that as a solution doh! Can i undo that or do i have to start a new thread haha.

Yeah i'm running 3 screens at 5760x1080 so i assume i would. I have heard there was sli issues but i had heard there was a solution by editing one of the game files by,

Quote: SLI Fix • Link[edit]
Default SLI compatibility bits do not scale properly in certain areas. Use alternative bits to improve performance at expense of some minor UI & light shaft flicker in places.
SLI Compatibility Bits Modification
Open the game profile via NVIDIA Inspector
Change SLI compatibility bits (DX1x) to 0x0C0080F5[3]
Apply changes.
Notes: Light shaft flicker when using this fix appears to be itself fixable by increasing shadow map resolution to 4096.)

I don't know what they mean by "Open the game profile via NVIDIA Inspector"

Also thanks for the kind words about my baby, she goes all right.

Yeah i understand it looks a little similar to gpuz but what do they mean by "Open the game profile via NVIDIA Inspector"?
Do they mean right click on the alien isolation .exe and go to "open with" NVIDIA Inspector. Or is there a button in NVIDIA Inspector that says open game file?

Ill have a go and see how i go. Thanks

Yes!!! It worked awesome!! Getting upward of 150fps now lol. So stoked. I realised in nvidia inspector there's a games list. Went to alien isolation and changed the dx11 value and BAM! the game is a million times better. I love it when ya work things out on pc. Time for a beer. Even if it is 12:45 at night.
