Right, i need help with overclocking my PC i have never done this before so i want help setting it up using tested known safer overclocks.

i want to overclock gpu, cpu, ram and motherboard a full rig overclock.

Also i would like to know what cooler i should buy to run this?

Would a air cooler work?
Thin 120mm or thin 140mm rad?
Thick 120mm or thick 140mm rad?
240mm or 280mm rad?

I want to keep cost down if possible.

I know i need to upgrade my power supply so if you can also let me know what watt would be good and recommend a couple.

Thank you for all help in advance.

If you need anymore information just let me know.

More information the better please:)

Right now the wattage of your PSU is probably enough, however that PSU isn't a high tier one. When it comes to overclocking overkill on "safety parts" so this PSU will be more than enough for you, and you can expand in the future

As for "tested known safer overclocks" the truth is a lot of people will tell you "this will definitely work", don't listen to them. EVERY chip is different, I won't get into the manufacturing process, but theres a reason that no processor gives a "you can overclock to this" recommendation, because they can't. Some you can crank the hell out of, others, you can only get like .2 ghz more out of. Overclocking is all TESTING TESTING TESTING. You adjust it up a bit, and test the heck out of it, then you adjust more and test more. And you can continue upward and test again until you get your fastest stable speeds. Patience and time is the most important part to overclocking.

The cooler you have is good, your motherboard has heatsinks on the vram, the chipset, etc which is all helpful. What case do you have? You want to make sure you're getting air in to feed this. Now the CPU cooler you have should allow you some overclockability, if you really want to push it though you will need a liquid cooler.

This is a good guide starting point:

Start overclocking with what you have, then see what your issues are. If its too much heat try a little more case airflow first (its cheaper!), then after that you can consider things like liquid cooling.

I do want to go AIO liquid cooled but unsure of what to get: thick, single, thin, dual, 240, 280, ect, ect.

I have a antec gx700 good airflow case i have modified the front drive bays to fit my huge graphics card so more air flow comes through the front with less resitance.

Im thinking of upgrading all my fans anyway to have 2 Corsair SP120's in front and 1 AF120 in rear and 2 AF140's in the top (although if i go for AIO i will swap which ever fan slot it ocupies and install SP120 or SP140 depending on the size of the rad).

TBH if you want to go liquid the Corsair H100i is like the go-to setup, theres no reason to not run it. And most likely you can re-use it for a future build some day.

So in that case you will mount the liquid cooler radiator on top, also I see it has a side fan, do you have that? Would be good for when you OC the graphics card.

I do understand corasir dual rads are the most common used but budget is issue for me.

I would like to know if a thin single rad would work? or even a thick single rad? if my budget made me go for something that

And ye i do have side fan which i forgot to mention i would upgrade that to to a AF120.

The short answer is yes, and you can get more out of that than a fan setup. That said AMD's are "hot" chips so a lower AIO setup won't let you really crank it all the way. That said it may be more than enough if you don't plan on going nuts. Coolermaster makes a nice unit the Seidon for $40 after rebate at newegg, its better than a regular air radiator.

Wow great deal and great starting point. Now go ahead and take a look at that FX series guide a posted, and start turning some things up. Just work patiently and slowly. After you get the processor and system overclocked, then turn to the graphics card.

The B2 is a much higher quality unit which is made by Superflower vs the NEX series made by FSP. Superflower makes all the high end EVGA units except for some made by Seasonic (also great). The B2 wiring is all wrapped in black so at least you have that.

You really should get the B2 over the NEX

ah okay just the wires on the B2 end in multi color which isn't that bad at mo as my case dosnt have a window but i am modding it to have a window so
