Help! Asrock mobo died, replaced with intel dz77sl-50k; tons of crashes, freezes, hanging!!

I really need help.

I have included most of the dxdiag for your convenience below. Briefly, it is a core i5-3570k, on a DZSL77-k intel board, with a GTX 670 and 16 gb of ddr3 ram. Recently, the motherboard in my machine died, so I swapped in the used DZ board above. I did a fresh install, a full windows update, and the following things have been happening that did not occur before the reinstallation and mobo swap.

1. Media files playing (i.e. twitch, pandora, youtube, etc) cause the system to frequently freeze up entirely and requires a reset.

2. When playing graphically intense games, BSOD occurs or the game will stutter and the system will grind to a halt and require reset. Note I did monitor CPU/GPU temps and they did not exceed normal limits.

3. USB devices are sometimes not being recognized, or are cycling and being recognized on/off.

In device manager, there are two items with the yellow caution triangle on them. CDC serial, and PCI simple communications controller.

What can I do to prevent these frustrating problems from occurring? Is it most likely I was just sent a bad mobo? Thanks in advance for your consideration of my problem.

I believe your problem is driver support for the motherboard. The last driver update of any kind was in July 2014. That doesn't mean the motherboard won't work properly, but there is no guarantee it will. All you can do is update your BIOS and drivers to the last Intel released and look for newer drivers from your video card vendor. That's the most likely conflict you are having.

Install all required Intel drivers; it looks like you didn't install the Intel Management Engine drivers. If you still have issues once all drivers are installed (no yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager), then the motherboard probably is defective. Unless defective, Intel motherboards usually are very stable.
