Help! cant use my hard-earned gpu..

when gpu is inserted, pc wont boot. I know this is a common issue but it seems I cant fix it. I really want to make it work because I waited too long to save up for this pc. Here are the specs:
MOBO: MSI 880GMS E41
CPU: AMD FX 4300
PSU: FPS 750 WATTS Silver
GPU: MSI GEFORCE GTX 960

Now Im wondering, is there an incompability among my parts? or if not, what could be the problem? Please let me know. I need it badly. :/

Are you sure everything is connected? All the power cables and such? Is this your first PC build?

make sure your running the newest bios file to rule out a bios bug. in the bios make sure your not trying to crossfire or have hybred crossfire on. try changing the primany displa yfrom auto to peg/pci see if that helps.

Yes this is my first time building. I am sure that all power cables are plugged in, already updated the bios from the msi live update and changed the primary to pci. Do I only need to update the bios only or is it also necessary to update the amd chipset driver and others?

I tried the gpu from my old pc(MOBO: Asrock Wolfdale 1333-d667). From this, the pc boots but cannot detect the gpu. What seems to be the problem? 🙁

i got it working just a while ago so i was assuming it was already good. but then after i tidyed my cables a little bit my pc, again, wont boot. hmm getting tired now. please i need answers..

This leads to a loose connection somewhere, reseat the video card, make sure it's clicked in and the power leads to it are all the way in also. I've seen people push in power cords just barely enough to hold them there without actually making electrical contact. If the card has more than one power connection make sure both are in. If the computer does not see the other video card either it may be a bad motherboard or possibly a bad power supply.

I checked already. I made it sure every plug is in. It worked again after my 3rd try but when I restarted the problem continued
