I'm about to finish my build and wanted to share my current setup. I've already purchased all the parts except the case, and I'm considering going with the Cooler Master HAF 700:
PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7Vvn4p
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($472.02 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGB 48.82 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($161.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI MAG X870E TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard ($320.01 @ Amazon)
Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($94.79 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($199.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB Video Card ($1549.00 @ Amazon)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 700 ATX Full Tower Case ($299.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair HX1200 Platinum 1200 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($405.00 @ Amazon)
I currently have a TUF GT501 case, which I could reuse. However, its airflow isn't the best due to the metal front panel. I’m wondering if it’s worth upgrading to the HAF 700 for better thermals, or if I should stick with the GT501 and maybe just swap out the fans for higher-performance ones.
Also, I’m not sure if the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360mm (38mm thick) will fit in the GT501 — if anyone has experience with this cooler in that case, your input would be really helpful.
I'm open to case suggestions as well — airflow and radiator clearance are top priorities.
