Hey, I've just joined to get help with my first build and could use some assistance with cooling; I was hoping I could get some opinions on some good options with varying price ranges, I need a CPU cooler and also other cooling mechanisms around the case.

Here's the build so far:
CPU - Intel Core i7-4790K (Plan to overclock)
GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti (Coming out on the 22nd)
RAM - G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
Motherboard - Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150
Case - NZXT Phantom 530

Specifications for where the case can hold fans and at which dimensions:
Front 2x140mm/120mm or 1x200mm
Rear 1x140mm/120mm
Bottom 2x120mm
Side 1x140mm
Top 2x200mm/140mm or 3x120mm
Interior 1x120mm/140mm

Opinions on other parts of the build is also welcome. ;)

For the cpu cooler, these are good coolers. The last one is extremely good for the price and your case is one of the few large enough to fit it easily.

The case should come with a 140mm rear exhaust fan and a 200mm front intake fan. You may wish to add a 140mm fan as top exhaust or move the front 200mm to the top and add 2 140mm fans to the front for intakes. Since you're not watercooling, there's not a lot of advantage to adding a fan to the bottom. Personally I wouldn't add a fan to the side of the case, it appears to be far forward for cooling the hard drives rather than the gpu. That close to the front intakes will more than likely just disrupt incoming airflow than add any cooling benefits. I don't know much about the performance of nzxt's stock case fans, no reason not to try them and then if they don't feel strong enough or are too loud for you then consider replacing them.

For the top if you add a fan, they're similar in price. Corsair has some decent fans, cougar vortex, phanteks, noctua. I didn't have good luck running phanteks fans on top, horizontally. They vibrated pretty bad, bad enough to feel and hear it. Vertical like a rear exhaust they're quiet and move a lot of air. I chose to go with noctua for my top exhaust and there's no vibration. If you don't like the standard brown/red earthtone colors the noctua redux line are two tone light and dark gray. Mine can get a little loud full out, but I'm running the 140mm 1500rpm version. The intention was to have the extra rpms if needed but used with a controller so they're turned down to reduce noise with good airflow. Having 2 on top is more for looks and general airflow, the top front one makes very little temp difference to the cpu/gpu.
