Question Help choosing PSU

Hello friends,

Please help me choosing the PSU between this two model.

1. Antec NeoEco750M 750 Watt Fully Modular.

2. MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 Power Supply 750 Watt Fully Modular.

Both the PSU are 80 plus gold and fully modular. Antec is half bridge LLC and MSI is full bridge LLC.

I am confused between half and full bridge LLC as I have no idea about this.

CPU is I5 13500 with MSI b760 wifi DDR5 motherboard.
GPU is Asus 1050ti, in next 7-8 month I will move to either 30 series or 40 series RTX.

Your help is appreciated. Which one is best?

MSI durable for PSU? I have never used before.

Presently I am using Seasonic SI2II 620w since 9 years there is no issues at all.

Seasonic make fantastic and durable PSUs.

The reason MSI is recommended over the Antec is because it is slightly better but also supports ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0
This makes it more desirable as it can be used with new components in the coming years, should you decide to build a new PC or upgrade the GPU.

Whichever brand you want to buy, it's probably wise to invest only in ATX 3.0 models.

Also I want to know about half bridge LLC vs full bridge LLC PSU.
Doesn't matter that much. A decent half bridge is still better than a half decent full bridge. I'm not impressed about the quality of the MSI and the fan is very loud.

Do you have a link to the Antec because there are some new Zen models to support ATX3.0.

Thank you very much for the information. I will buy MSI model no doubt.

Also I want to know about half bridge LLC vs full bridge LLC PSU.

It's not *that* big a deal and generally, other things will determine what the better choice is.

However, to put it *very* generally, it's about AC-DC conversion. Half-bridge converters use two switches while full bridge has four. The latter is more suitable in high voltage applications, but it's also a bit more complex and can have more electrical noise.

It's typically not important for an average consumer to know the precise differences.

I would not use a psu with less than a 7 yr warranty on a gaming pc.

Wait until you are closer to needing the psu upgrade.
Prices and products will change.

Buy only a quality unit with a 7 year warranty, preferably 10.
To allow for stronger graphics upgrades, buy a stronger unit than you need, Perhaps 850w or more,
The psu will only use the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.
And with the new ATX 3.0 standard, it makes sense to me to buy into that standard.
Since you have done so well with Seasonic, look at the GX-850 vertex with a 12 year warranty:

Thank you friends for your suggestion. I have decided to move to 1000W PSU.

How about this MSI 1000W model with PCIE 5.0 and atx 3.0?

@ geofelt

Friend presently there is no Seasonic dealer here in my country. I have checked their website. So, If PSU gets defective then no chances of replacement or repair. Warranty will be useless for me.

For me Corsair, Cooler Master MSI, Antec & Thermaltake are possible as they have service center for any kinds of issues.

Corsair has the RMX Shift and HXi worth to buy as an ATX3.0 unit. RMe is to loud.
Cooler Master has the V-i Gold and Thermaltake the GF3, GF A3 and PF3 as a worth to go.
Antec has no tested ATX3.0 units jet.

Asus stating its components are military grade. Is it really so?
That's marketing BS.
Local dealer is pushing me for Thermaltake GF3 1000W or the MSI a1000G pcie5.0 or the Asus link I have provided above.
The Asus TUF is pretty loud. Between the TT and the MSI I recommand the MSI. However the quality is comparable, the MSI is a bit more silent.

Thank you friends. Finally I have decided to go with MSI model.
Tomorrow I will get it.

Your helpful informations are always appreciated. Without your help it was not possible for me to get a good PSU.

Many many thanks once again.
