HELP... Computer not turning on [SOLVED]

Hi. I just have a quick question. I have a HP compaq 8100 Elite SFF computer with motherboard MS-7557 V01 in it. my husband tried to update the ram in it when i was at work and now the power led flashes on and off but the computer doesnt turn on. I cant hear any fans. I replaced the PSU to see if t was that and still nothing. I also reset the CMOS battery and still does the same. i unplugged the cd drive power and fans started up but thats it. i was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction to find out whats wrong

I took it out, tried old ram and still same problem 🙁

If the power led is flashing it sounds like its in sleep or hibernation

Press a key / the spacebar on the keyboard to wake it up

i just tried that and it did something new. it flashed red light on the front and beeped three times, paused and beeped three times and repeats

*update* its actually beepin 4 times

How many sticks of ram are on it?? If there's more than 1 turn it off, remove all but one.

See if it turns on. If that doesnt work, remove that stick and try one stick of ram at a time

Hold on the leds are error messages / codes. I'm just checking to see what they mean

You could try the previous post. It maybe a ram stick, it maybe faulty

You removed ram with the PC on, that is not good, might have caused some issues.

Fully power off PC and turn back on, if it gives the beep/flash coodes then will need to see what it means.

Nah it was off. But now its working. Just doing a system repair. Thankyou all for your help. I think it was in sleep mode. Stupid me
