I recently purchased a Sprint Netgear Mingle mobile hotspot. I need to connect it to a hub or router with hardwired network connections. I have a IRIS home automation hub which requires hard-wired connectivity to my network. I am not sure how to do this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Yes.

Hotspot >> (wifi signal) >>Wireless Bridege---(ethernet cable)--]WAN port of router.

If router is wireless I would connect all wifi devices to it over the hotspot as this way you will be much better proteted on the internet. You will want to make sure your router and hotspot are using different wifi channels. The 3 primary usable ones are 1,6,and 11, so if the hotspot uses 11, set your router to 1 or 6 (whichever one is least used by your nieghbors). You can download a program called inssider for windows or android/iOS has some good wifi analayzer apps as well that can scan for wifi signals and tell you their channel and signal stregnth.
I am not tech savy so tell me if this is how I would do this. My Mingle allows for 5 connected wireless devices. I found the NETGEAR WNCE2001Wireless Bridge on Best Buys website. This bridge has a single Ethernet port. Does the bridge connect to my Mingle as a wifi device? If so do I connect a router to the Ethernet port on the bridge and then connect my IRIS to the router?

Solution
That helps. I most likely will only use a wired router/switch so I can also connect a wired network printer I have not been using. Since I do not have many wireless devices (max for my Mingle is 5) I do not to maintain my Mingle as well as a wireless router.

Thank you so much for your help!

This is how i connected my TPLINK wireless router to my 3g Mobile hotspot. I have explained it step by step. Hope this helps as a general guide.

Can you then connect a device to the ethernet port of the router and use it if the DHCP is disabled?
