Help downgrading windows 8.1 to 8

[Help me please please]

Hi. I recently purchased a windows 8.1 install disc and installed it to my hp pavilion dv6000. I was wondering if it is possible to downgrade from 8.1 to 8 as I like the desktop shortcut to start menu better. (the hidden start button) I only have the 8.1 product key and disc. (32 and 64 bit)

Any games that dont work on 8.1 arent going to work on 8 either. You can try right clicking on the game and select compatibility mode and you can run the game in xp mode windows 7 mode etc.

Sorry but you can downgrade to windows 8 without the windows 8 key. I wouldn't recommend it anyways windows 8 is just not as good as 8.1 in many ways other than the start menu and i wouldn't suggest you get a worse OS just because you like the start menu you can try a program like classic shell it makes 8.1 more like windows 7 if you dont like the 8.1 layout.
