HELP: FIFA 2003 doesnt find Directx

I am from Austria (Europe), so maybe my English is not perfect.

After I installed FIFA, it has worked with no problems until the moment when windows restored my system files and I reinstalled all my drivers. Since then FIFA doesnt find Directx. I have tried to install Directx 8.1 from my FIFA CD, but this only caused, that I had to reinstall my graphics-driver. (according to windows the driver was still installed, but the highesst setting I could archieve was 1024x768 with 256 colors). After that I installed the latest Directx version from the MS-Site (Directx 9.0a), but this also didnt help (but I didnt have to reinstall the graphicsdriver again).

I also deinstalled Directx with Directx Buster and reinstalled it again. I tried this with Directx 9.0a from the MS site and with Directx 8.1 from the FIFA-CD, but this also didnt help. (I also reinstalled my graphics-drivers)

I also have tried to install a WHQL certitied driver (40.71) with the old method (uninstall direct x, reinstall the driver, reinstall direct x).

When I tried to install the new driver, an error this message appeared:

Setup was unable to locate a detected devices PCI ID in NVIDS.CFG. The installation was aborted.

I have installed the 43.45 driver again, but it still doesnt work.

I also played Unreal Tournament 2003 after I first had the problems, but it ran without problems.

My Graphicscard: Creative 3D Blaster GeForce 4 Ti 4800 (4600 GPU with 8x AGP)

My Operatingsystem: Windows 98SE

I have deinstalled directx and the drivers again, then I reinstalled Windows (w/o formatting).

Now it works again!
