Hello there.
I'm in limbo trying to find a software for Windows, that basically tracks and logs the HDD I/Os of other processes.
Specifically I want something that shows and preferably logs, what program accessed to WHAT location(logical location like C:\install.log etc.read/write) on HDD in WHAT TIME. Let's say (actually) that I'm hearing a strange ring from time to time from my PC, but cannot determine what was that or where it came from.
I'm using Process Hacker but so far it is of half-help, it shows only the CURRENT actions and without any timestamp whatsoever, and its window needs to be kept open for monitoring the disk activity.
And our dear lovely search engines on the net give results about keyloggers and other such spy software, that works for general mouse/keyboard events. I want to spy on PROCESSES, rather than users or someone else or general PC activities like startup shutdown or .exe start/exits.
If anyone knows or have such application, please let me know either.
Hope I was able to make it clear, I'm pretty sleepy but needed the answer tonight.
Thank you.
