Hello, I'm a total noob on PC's and looking for advise. Can I upgrade graphic card on HP Pavilion, AMD A9 SERIES A9-9430, Radeon r5 series.

Most likely, there is a low-powered Power supply in that unit, meaning there might not be enough power even for a low-powered GTX 1650 or 1050.

if it is at least 275 Watts, you should be able to put a GTX 1050 or GTX1650 in the system, and power it successfully. Depending on your case size, you may have to seek out a half-height card, and in any case, make sure the card you get does not require additional power from a 6-pin cord
