Help: Frequent POWEROUTAGES/BROWNOUTS DAMAGES COMPUTER?

Anyway my problem is that, does frequent power outages/brownouts cause harm to PC(sudden shut of)? Does plugging it to surge protector helps?

I noticed as time passes by my BIOS time is increasing. When I newly built it, it was like 3 seconds using SSD. now its 5-10 more seconds(even i reformat/refresh it) using SSD.

Can anybody shed light?

I'm planning to buy UPS. My PSU is VS650, 650 watt. what should be my ups VA?

YES! Both put stress on the components of both your power supply and internal components like the motherboard. A surge protector will not protect you from the low voltage brownouts...just from high voltage lightning hits through the power cables.

You need to get a battery backup that maintains a constant power source for dips in power. I have one on every PC, and when a PC is on, occasionally the battery backup will beep, so I know it's kicking in more juice to compensate for the lower power coming through the outlet.

I live in the Southern United States and we have severe storms regularly starting in the spring (coming up soon), so I know what you are dealing with. If the storms are bad enough, I just turn off the PC altogether and don't risk anything more.

As for the SSD, have you tried to run a trim?

Might try running a computer off of a UPS battery backup or just buy some kind of Solar/battery system for computer power. Needs to be a system that is separate from the provided electrical system.

Interruptions in power and spikes in the power can cause physical damage to the power supply, to the hard drive corrupting files, to RAM, and to the motherboard components. Computers really need a steady flow of power. If not bad things happen to your hardware and files.

How much UPS VA? My PSU is corsairVS650 watts.

I run a 750W Corsair PSU and my 1440p gaming rig pulls about 530W from the wall under load (gaming) minus the monitor and have a 1000VA APC (model here: http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/products/APC-Power-Saving-Back-UPS-Pro-1000/P-BR1000G ).
