Help! Game-only lag?

Ok, so I was really unsure where to post this exactly, but here we go..

For some strange reason I'm lagging in every online game I play. My internet itself is fine and I can browse the web at a good speed and watch films on Netflix, etc. However, I, for some reason cannot play any online game without major lag?

Where are you from if I may ask Where I am my speeds are much higher than that my download was about 24Mb/s and 5Mb/s upload. Depending on where you live your internet might be a little slower which might be normal to you but slow to people who live in big cities like where I live. Other than that what specs are you running on your pc and what games are you playing I know some games have crappy servers which slow things down like the EA servers on PS3 if you ever console game. Lag in online games can be any combination of your internet being slow, someone else's being slow, or the server being terrible so a little more details and we can narrow it down i little more.

Hey mate, I'm from Birmingham, England. I know my internet speeds aren't the best. I have TalkTalk internet however, this shouldn't be a problem because I have played these games before without lag. I have recently been playing BF4, MW2, COD4, etc. All use to play just fine, but now they're lagging? I have 8GB RAM, 1GB Radeon 7770, Haswell i5, 450w corsair PSU.

I had a similar problem and had to open several ports and it fixed everything. I can't remember which one's but if you Google it you may find which ones. Windows live, origin and steam were all different ports. About three for live and origin, not sure about steam as i've never had a problem with it. Live especially was problematic. I only use steam now so i can't check which ports i opened to fix it.

I was getting lag online but not as bad as you it appears. The more annoying thing was a would often lose connection in game. I t was like getting kicked but i just lost connection.
