Hey guys. I have Toshiba Satellite l855-159 laptop with these specs:
i7 3630m 2.4 GHz with turbo upto 3.4 GHz
6GB RAM
AMD Radeon 7670M with 2 GB ram

... its one year old, but recently gpu starts to overheating and shuts down while gaming some games that i used to play before without any problems. gpu goes up to 82-85 degrees. With normal work it stays at 44 degrees. Vent is clean. I have cooling pad under laptop and 64bit Win7 OS. Every time i try to update my drivers, catalyst software and windows explorer start to not responding and closing. Any help... ?

I'd look at both hardware and software. Spray pressured air into all the vents to clean it. Then try doing a clean install of the graphics drivers in case there is some what it is running at an increased clock speed. The fan could be failing if it hits high temps while at idle or playing non-intensive games, you could look up how to replace the fan. Those are the only things I can think of.
