I have a silverstone st70f-ti power supply and msi z2701 pro carbon mother board. The siolberstone directions on connecting these say "connect ATX 20-pin/EPS 24 pin power cable to the mother board's corresponding connector" The connection cable has 24 pins on one side (20 pins on one plastic housing and 4 pins on an adjacent plastic housing) and 28 pins on the other end (24 pins on one plastic housing and 4 pins on an adjacent plastic housing). WTF?? My mobo has 24 pin receptor and so does the power supply.
So I don't know if it matters which side I connect to which except I'll have 4 extra pins dangling around on one side or the other. Do I plus the 20+4 onto the power supply and the 24+4 onto the mobo (with the extra 4 just dangling unconnected)?
Do those extra 4 go somewhere? The instructions do not clarify.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi - The end that goes to the mobo should be the 24 (20+4)pin, if there's actually and end with 24+4 you
have a cable that's not listed in the specs. That PSU is fully modular, so it looks like you have a cable you
shouldn't. I would try the 24pins (of 28) on the PSU recepticle and leave the xtra 4 hanging.

Meanwhile, you should contact Silverstone. There's a good chance they will expedite a new cable
to you.
