Hello! I can't decide between:

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Dominator-Desktop-Preformance-i7-6700HQ/dp/B01K00YHMG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1472440832&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=Gaming+laptop+vr+ready&psc=1&smid=A2KYIV02F0JSJ6

And

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01J9XFSXM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1472491711&sr=8-3&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=gtx+1070+gaming+pc&dpPl=1&dpID=41Wx0qLHNEL&ref=plSrch

Please help! I know all the specs and such, and I want to use the computer for both gaming and travel gaming and such. I just want to know your guys' opinions on which one I should get.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I want to eventually use vr and my budget is around $1500. I only want pcs made with Intel/NVIDIA if u suggest other computers. (Also I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, so I want new parts)

Solution
a huge Desktop is not travel friendly , If you want a Desktop , you shuold make a small itx one , easier to carry , and then game on TV where you travel.

Other wise , get a notebook .
Well, if you want travel it's going to be the laptop you want to get. The laptop's monitor is a 1080p screen and it has a 1060, which will match up nicely together with it. You won't have to get a monitor or keyboard if you get it. That laptop is one of the best anyways for portable VR. Anything better would be tons more expensive (probably an Asus ROG).

You'd be set with the laptop.

I travel quite a bit and I use this for local travel http://

and this for my overseas rig (I pack it into a Pelican 1620M case as check baggage) http://

Both good enough for VR and much, much better than overpriced laptop gaming rigs. For my overseas rig just hook up to a TV and go.

Wasted a lot of money over the years on gaming laptops; and I really do mean wasted, they become obsolete extremely quickly, suffer faaaaar more issues than my desktops, significantly throttle due to heat, etc. etc.

BLUF: Gaming laptops=waste of money. Build your own computer; you'll save money and have something configured to what you need.
