HELP I Think i broke my ram

When i installed new ram into my motherboard it made a high pitched bell sound , does that mean i skratched my ram and it broke? Its boots up fine but i just want to know if it broke. Im not talking about the beeps when it boots up im talking the scratch noise

Mobo: Asus A68BM
RAM: Kingston 2x4 GB DDR3

Ram either works or it doesn't. Since it works, I'd be looking for other culprits like wiring touching fans, dirt clogging fan blades or a hdd that's bunk etc.

if your bios/OS can see all 8gb than your fine.

I would second the reply regarding wires touching a fan, a bad fan, or a screwed up HDD
