Question help: I7 8700 (non OC) + z370-A Pro MSI + Ram?

Hi, I'm building a stable computer for photo shop and some video editng and want to know if this motherboard will work well with a i7 8700?
Motherboard; z370-A Pro MSI
I like it because it has 6 fan headers for PWM and is ready for i9 processors when that time comes.

Regarding RAM: Should i choose ram at 2666Mhz since the Intel i7 8700 only allows up to that point? I just want a computer that works and is stable, so if there are risks associated with going over 2666MHz i wont.

It will work just fine.
z370-A Pro supports ram up to 4000mhz in OC mode. So it is not necessary limit ram options to 2666mhz.

Thank you. But if i look at i7 8700 speciications it says:

supported memory type

DDR4-2666 +

I would not want to sacrifice performance for the CPU or run into unstability problems between CPU MB and RAM. Do you think getting 4000Mhz ram will work well on CPU?

2666mhz is max supported ram frequency on boards, that do not support OC (like H310, B360, B365, H370).
Z370 supports ram OC. So up to 4000mhz is possible.

How well it runs and how stable, depends on particular ram modules.
