You're free to get that 999AUD MSI Gaming to replace the Gaming X 1099AUD.

Go for ASUS motherboard instead of MSI as MSI has some quality control problems.
Go for ASUS GTX1080 Strix as it has 3 fan control system.

What about the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 WindForce OC 8GB instead of the ASUS Strix?

Gigabyte has 3 fans but dose not have independent fan control system as ASUS. Gigabyte is bit noisy under load. Gigabyte is a bit hard to get stable clock speeds when pushed to limit. That doesn't mean Gigabyte is bad or something. If there is good price difference go for Gigabyte no-problem

Thanks I appreciate the help

You are welcome :)
