Question Help, is my ssd dead?

I got a desktop as part of a trade and I found an ssd sitting inside which was weird because I the computer didn't recognize it. The lights on the ssd light up since it's some ocz 120gb model that lights up. I tried it on multiple desktops, same story. It lights up but bios nor windows recognizes it. Is this how ssds act when they're dead or am I doing something wrong
