I am desperate to get this resolved. It all started back in December when I got new parts for my computer for Christmas. Since then my computer has been in the shop 6 times! Every time the computer shop says they fix it, the issue comes back. I now call the issue the restart plague. There is not much I can share on how it happens. It is so random. The computer can be sitting idle, or I can be watching Twitch, using an Adobe program, typing an email or gaming. Sometimes it gets to the point it will get in a constant boot loop and will not stop restarting. I honestly feel like my computer hates me.

Here is what has been done over the past 5 months. Replaced brand new power supply with another new power supply, new power cord, new power strip, and I even tested the outlet. Randomly restarts continue. Reformatted, reinstalled Windows 11 and all software programs. Updated BIOS and all drivers. Random restarts continued. Replaced monitor, keyboard and mouse. Replaced brand new RAM (x2 8MB sticks) with a new 1 16MB RAM stick. Random restarts continued. Replaced video card. Restarts continued. Replace brand new motherboard with another new motherboard 2 weeks ago. Guess what? Two weeks in and the restart plague continues.

Here are my specs:
Device name MFerStopRestarting
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
MOBO ROG Strix - B450-F Gaming II
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (brand PNY - XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X)

Product ID 00326-10000-00000-AA831
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on ‎3/‎1/‎2023
OS build 22621.1555
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22640.1000.0

I have my main hard drive and a 2nd hard drive. I put my programs on my 2nd drive due to the small size of my C Drive. My main HD is only 110 GB. My 2nd HD is 931 GB. So I run World of Warcraft, Oculus VR etc from my 2nd HD.

I run Kapersky Total Security for my antivirus.

Please let me know if anyone sees anything that stands out to them that would be causing the issue. I do not want to take it back in a 7th time and be without it for another 2 weeks again. I think the repair guys at the computer store will quit if I show up again lol.

Updated BIOS and all drivers.
For the sake of relevance, can you please pass on the BIOS version you're on at this moment of time? As for your BIOS being updated, did you make sure to clear the CMOS after you've verified that the BIOS was updated successfully?

You forgot to include the make and model of your PSU. If the unit's been recycled from an older build, please mention it's age.

Reformatted, reinstalled Windows 11 and all software programs.
Where did you source the OS and apps from?

You have done a lot, but this could be something unusual. Maybe try moving wires around inside the computer, or jarring the case to see if there is something making an intermittent contact. Wiggle the connectors as a troubleshooting technique.

And when you give us the model of the PSU, give us *both* the old and the new models. As noted above, we're missing some absolutely crucial information here.

I'd certainly not go to this shop again. Most likely result is they didn't actually ever successfully fix it, but they keep charging you over and over again for fixing it.

First of all, thank you for the feedback. It looks like when they replaced my ASUS ROG Trix B450-F Gaming II MOBO with another ASUS ROG Trix B450-F Gaming II MOBO, they did not update the BIOS. It has version 4602 the newer version is 5003. Ugh /faceplam.

PSU was a EVGA Super Nova 750 G5, 80 Plus Gold 750W. It was replaced with a EVGA 610 BP, 80 Plus Bronze 610W. It was the only one they had in stock that would fit in my case.

I would like to update my BIOS but I have never done that myself. It was done by the computer repair shop. How hard it is to do that myself?

And yes, DSzymborski, they never have fixed it. They would work on it and it would stay stable for several days. I would pick it up and start using it. It would take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks before it would start the random restarts again. I want to run it over with my car!
