im new to this..... im about to build a gaming system before christmas

i was thinking of these two barebone kits... i plan to use the nvidia 260 216 core 896mb

Both links are dead, so can't see all of the details, but what is your budget and we can help you better. The nVidia 260 216 core is a good GPU there are other options that might be better, but your on the right track. If we have your budget, we can make sure you get the best system for the budget allowed.

i still want to use the 260 216... just becouse its a 896mb card i just had a ati his 3850 hd 512 and was not impressed it was a agp but still i was expecting more for that price.... i been using ati so i wanted to give nvidia a try i like there set up and website and all the reviews are top notch on the 260 216 so i would like to stay with it. but like i said its my first build so im open to any advice..... Thanks alot

replace the antec 900 with the antec 300 (they ran out at newegg) and this comes out to about $737

dont be scared of the 4850, it'll do you right

ok thanks i have the dvd drive in this rig i have a hd but i dont think its a sata.... you think that i would be able to run all games out and still to come on high settings with that rig?? thats all i do is use the computer to web and game i work all the time so this is my way or calming down after a long day of work..... oilfield is tough but i enjoy my job so what ya gonna do

@OP: Exactly why do you need X48 board? You can't SLI on X48. Get a 4850/4830/4870 if you plan to CrossFire later. Again you don't need 750W unless doing CrossFire. You don't need DDR2 1066 RAM either.
