is there no where one can get any info on these motherboards?? it (
MS8303EP - 266) boots sometimes at XP1250+ , have to go reset bios to
XP2000+ and is ok for awhile. then it seems , for no appaerant reason , that
it will boot again at XP1250 when the AMD chip installed is an Athlon
XP2000+ . another funny thing, it has 2 "post" beeps , one before the
equipment screen and one after??
i think i will start with the cmos battery , then a new power supply
although i am usig a 300 watt now which i have used before for a processor
of this spped and even higher.
i am begining to think that the Matsonic stuff is junk??

any help would be appreciated? thank you much in advance

It's probably booting as 1250MHz instead of an XP1250+ since the default
muplier of the 2000+ is 12.5 and default FSB speed of your MB is surely
100MHz, thus 12.5x100=1250Mhz. I assume when this happens you reset the
FSB speed to 133. These settings are saved in cmos, so the battery could
be bad and reverting to default values after the system has been turned
off. I've buikt several SIS730 chioset boards, but not a Matsonic that I
recall. But they're all about the same.

Nope. Maybe it's reloading the default bios settings and rebooting.
