[SOLVED] Help Me Build 1440p Gaming PC

Hi Guys,

Can you please help me build the best 1440p Gaming PC? i will be using Asus ROG Swift PG279Q 144hz Monitor on this,
Can give me the BEST 1440p Gaming, i Dont have idea on budget, i just want the BEST in 1440p gaming,
i play more on DOTA, CSGO, PUBG

BUT if im tired of playing online games i will still get higher FPS on other games.

MORE LIKE I WANT ALL GAMES WILL PLAY SMOOTH AT 1440P on this BUILD.

Actually im thinking between the 2070 and 2080 but i prefer the 2080 i just dont know what to partner with the 2080 to maximize or get the most out of 1440p gaming

By the way this is my 1st PC BUILD thats why i want it to be the best.


OR LETS MAKE IT LIKE THIS, GIVE ME THE BEST 1440P GAMING PC BUILD that will play all of the games smoothly.

Setup the case fans as the 2-140mm fans in the front as intake, 1-140mm fan on top as exhaust and leave the 120mm rear fan (stock) as exhaust.

thinking of getting the i7 9700k is it worth it? actually my 1st thought was to get the 2080 and partner it with i7 9700k is it overkill? or not worth it for playing at 1440p?

Either 8700K or 9700K would be fine, went with the 8700K to save some money. As for the RTX 2070 I used that as it handles 1440P very well and the price to performance increase to the 2080, IMHO, just doesn't justify the $200 increase.

High refresh rate 1440p needs a bare minimum of a RTX 2080. A gtx 1080/rtx 2070 will get you on average 80-100 fps and new games like Metro Exodus will bring cards like that to it's knees at 1440p high to ultra settings. You have to think about future games and how demanding triple A titles are. Trust me, RTX 2080/GTX 1080 ti bare minimum. How much are you willing to spend?

I really have no idea with the budget, but im staying away from the i9 with 2080ti price range. i think that i9 with 2080ti is not worth it, all i want is to have a PC BUILD that could play 1440p at ULTRA SETTINGS on every GAME. give me the best build possible for 1440p ULTRA SETTINGS.

As for today im just playing not a heavy game, because my laptop cannot handle it, im playing DOTA and Rules of survival BUT i want to play PUBG on high FPS CSGO, FARCRY and try more games so i want to have a BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK PC that is FLEXIBLE to play MOST of the games in 1440p and HIT a higher FPS,

For those games I'd still recommend the 8700K/9700K. As for the GPU it's always advisable to get the best you can afford but I still really don't think the 2080 is worth the additional $200 for 5-25 FPS difference (depends on game).

I used to like Intel, but the 2700x beats out the i7 9700k in multicore performance. At higher resolutions intel's IPC and higher clock speeds matter less because the graphics card is pushed to it's limits which holds back the processor. Going AMD allows to budget in other areas of the build because of cost you don't have to purchase an aftermarket cooler. TBH either processor would be an excellent choice.
