Hey folks,
I have been out of touch with modern gaming systems. I am looking for help to get this build under 2k.

I really want 4k gaming and possibility for graphic design using APS. I will be playing Red dead, WoW, maybe others.
Could you guys give components that will achieve my goals to bring this under or at 2k?

Solution
-You need a 24 thread processor for graphics design? I'm asking, as I seriously don't know.
-4000mhz is next to useless on Ryzen. 3200-3600mhz is all you need.
-Vega 64 isn't a 4k card, as was already mentioned.
-The horsepower you need to run 4k will run toasty in that kind of case.
-The only cards that come close to running high refresh 4K are 2080 Super and 2080Ti, and the latter is out of your budget.

Here's what I managed to put together:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($194.79 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler ($36.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus PRIME X570-P ATX AM4 Motherboard ($159.39 @...
Hmm, that GPU is not gonna get you to 4K gaming. $750 for a monitor? My first recommendation is 1. Finding a cheaper 4K monitor(never gonna sniff close to 100fps at 4k with that GPU, let alone 144). 2. Change to 2k more realistic with your budget. 3. Get a better PSU.

Little budget increment but big performance increment over Vega 64 build.
This will manage to output reasonable level of performance even at 4K.
All high quality components.
Before people object my list. I did read the budget requirement. This is one option if OP can spend more than what he can. This is no compromise option from performance point of view.
