1. What is your budget?

EDIT: under $1000 USD.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Around a 15-inch like my MacBook Pro. Something similar in size

3. What screen resolution do you want?

Whatever is best at that budget.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Portable

5. How much battery life do you need?

As much

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

CoD Vanguard, Minecraft with Shaders mod (which is beefy). If there is a more lower price gaming laptop for these games (and that mod) then please redirect me to it. Medium to High.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Just recording gameplay.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

I don't use as much, so maybe less than 1 TB?

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

I prefer Amazon.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

Around 2 years.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

Whichever is better.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I prefer Nvidia (because its mostly agreed upon as the best and also I owned a RTX 3070 PC last year that was more expensive and it was good, but I need one that is portable that I can take it everywhere) more than AMD, but I just need a good laptop for CoD Vanguard and Minecraft (with Shaders mod). AMD also works.

13. What country do you live in?

USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I would like if the laptop is silent during playing and not noisy. If possible to recommend a good headset and mouse. Thanks

Hi

I have to say this site is pretty rubbish. No one replies to your posts.

But I’ll direct you as best I can.

Firstly — I’ll say, is the laptop essential? Why I ask is games consoles cannot be beat for their value for money.
You cannot build a PC, ordinarily and even more so now (when components are so expensive) that is comparable and performs as well as the PS5/Series X — at that price point.

So straight off that’s worth considering. You can record and upload gameplay with consoles too, very easily to sites like YOUTUBE.

OK.

So,

Here’s a list of laptops under $1000

https://techguided.com/best-gaming-laptops-under-1000-dollars/#1-Lenovo-Legion-5

I recently owned the HP Pavillion Laptop, R5 4600, GTX 1650. It performed very well and with those specs at that price point, it cannot be beat!

This gives you a rough idea —

If you could find one with a 1660 Ti — that would be even better.

But, I personally would try to pick up the Lenovo Legion. If you can find one for under $1000 then it’s a no brainer. Try to find the best GPU you can as priority, the CPU is less important with gaming generally. And things like RAM and storage can be upgraded later.

Chk out the hierarchy of GPU’s — gives you a better idea of where they sit in the rankings and which is generally better

Lenovo are releasing the Legion refresh soon with their new 12th gen 2022 range . Which should push prices down further.
If you can snag one with an RTX 3060 you’ll be sorted! The Legion come with full powered mobile GPU’s, not all laptops do. Which is very important to note. You can get caught out by that.
You might get a laptop with an RTX 3060 but TDP (power to the GPU) is only say 80w, opposed to say 120w for example. Generally the rule is the higher the TDP the better. But certainly it depends on how efficient the cooling system is.
