I originally thought of the AS8 because of it still having the AGP. But now I've been thinking of just going for PCIe. Anyways, what are good motherboards? I'm not looking for the 925X series and one of the biggest things I'm looking for is for both DDR and DDR2 compatability. I've heard of some motherboards shutting down early because of heat issues in a roundup that I read. Anyways, the few I found were the AG8 and the Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo Pro. Is there any way to change the auto shutdown thing? The room I keep my computer in isn't exactly cold so my temps are usually a little higher.

This is not a good environment for socket 755, or any prescott processor.
If you absolutely have to buy Intel, and now, get an abit IS7 mobo, and aP4c chip.

The problem is that I'm recieving a 560 and I really have no choice so I'm going to build my new system off of it. Anyways, its not like my room is an oven or anything, and I was already thinking of just putting another room fan in to help cool it a little better.
