System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, coding, productivity general use and Netflix Streaming

Parts to Upgrade: I need a fully modular PSU, I prefer a well cooled RTX 2070 super, memory that runs well with AMD and don't care about RGB but am ok with it. Also don't need super fast CAS 14 memory and do want a 2X16 configuration.

Parts Preferences: by brand or type : I prefer Gigabyte or EVGA for GPU, Noctua for air cooler, GSkill or Corsair for memory, Seasonic or comparable for PSU and Gigabyte/Asus for MOBO. Will consider other GPU but want exceptional cooling and reliability.

Overclocking: Maybe but probably not. Just tweaking the memory to achieve stated speed.

Your Monitor Resolution: I like LG monitors and want a VA or IPS or IPS nano 27-32 monitor with a 1440 resolution and at least 144 refresh rate. Not sure about G sync vs. Freesync?? But will be using Display Port. Currently considering LG offered by Amazon when it is in stock or the Dell 32 curved VA panel. LG 27GL83A, the LG 27GL850 or the Dell S3220DGF

I noted Amazon was the preferred store, though quite a few things were out of stock or just plain more expensive there, so Newegg ended up featuring a lot. And they seem to have a decent price on that EVGA 2080 Super Ultra with rebates and so on. Triple slot cooler.

You said RTX 2070 Super, but put in the 2080 Super just to show you might be able to shoehorn it in at the top end of the budget if you wanted. otherwise:

$514 on Newegg for the 2070 Super XC ultra and its 2.75/3 slot cooler.

Corsair's RMi / RMx / RM (new one) PSUs are great. 650W is a bit cheaper, but figure you may end up with a more powerful CPU down the line, may or may not OC, and may upgrade to a beefier GPU one day... and for the lifetime of a PSU the difference in price isn't awful.

X570-PLUS is one of the less expensive X570 boards, but seems to do well in terms of VRMs, and has a solid feature set. It's not like you really need an X570 board for a 3700x either but in terms of having PCIe 4.0 SSDs as an option down the line and in view of the reasonable price, I'd say go for it.

Re the RAM, only worth going 32gb for coding if you need it. For gaming, it's not advantageous versus 16gb.

The LG 27GL850 is supposed to be outrageously good, and would be a very solid choice if you're happy with 27" (no reason you shouldn't be) And I'm quite jealous of people on the far side of the Atlantic who can actually buy them. Can't really get them in the UK.

I picked up the LG 27GL83A which is the same monitor but without the USB hub from Amazon.de. It was £419 delivered to the UK and took 3 days to come. Just needed an EU plug adapter.

I've seen it's available on some Eu vendors like Sotel I think. Unfortunately, I've had absolutely shocking luck with dead and stuck pixels in the past, and the return shipping for large/expensive items back to Amazon in the EU means it's not worth risking it for me, so will need to stick to UK vendors even if it means a long wait or buying a different model. Good shout for others who are happy playing the panel lottery though.

Sadly missed the deal where the 27GL83A was £330 on Amazon UK at black Friday!
