For some time, I've been considering replacing my graphics card, and I've been thinking of buying either the RTX 5070 or the Radeon 9070. I think the 9070 is the better choice in the end, mainly because it's slightly faster in rasterization and performs better in games like CS2 and COD. (plus more VRAM). However, I'm unsure which model to buy and what to consider when making a decision.

Currently, I have a Radeon 5700xt saaphire pulse, there were no big problems with it, but recently I bought a rather large case so I would like to make sure that the space in it is not wasted.
I know that I must also take into account the price, because some versions really are able to differ from each other by a few hundred dollars. Still, there are so many models that even crossing the very expensive ones it doesn't really take me any closer to making a decision.

Currently where i live prices are as below (1 dollar is around 3.7 zl)
  • PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 Reaper 16GB (RX907016GA) – 2 651,68 zł
  • ASRock Radeon RX 9070 Challenger 16GB (GRATIPASR071) – 2 656,64 zł
  • Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 OC 16GB (DPZ4EWWP01) – 2 699,00 zł
  • XFX Swift Radeon RX 9070 OC Triple 16GB (RX97SWFT3B7) – 2 699,00 zł
  • Xfx VGA 16GB Radeon RX9070 QuickSilver OC Gaming – 2 740,90 zł
  • Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 NITRO+ 16GB OC – 2 749,00 zł
  • Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 Pulse 16GB (GRATIPSAPA77) – 2 749,68 zł
  • PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 Hellhound 16GB (GRAT1PPWCT11) – 2 759,90 zł
  • PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 Red Devil 16GB (GRAT1PPWC113) – 2 789,00 zł
  • ASRock Radeon RX 9070 Steel Legend 16GB OC (90GA3EZ200UANF) – 2 798,97 zł
  • ASUS Radeon RX 9070 PRIME 16GB OC (GRAT1PASU544) – 2 809,21 zł
I'd prefer no or very little rgb and preferably not a white color gpu.
Given all the information what would be the best choice?

All of them will provide similar performance levels. Get a 3 fans model with the color of your choice. Sapphire would be my first choice though while XFX and PowerColor are a close 2nd.

No preferency for any brand to be honest. What about the OC versions, shouldnt i consider them for some extra performance?
The OC variants don't have as much impact as they used to. Dynamic OC features narrowed the gap a lot.
OC variants, you're paying extra for someone else to do it for you; the non-OC variant may be able to achieve parity with some manual input.

So i should just go for 3 fan that looks good i guess? I heard that some GPUs have a dangerous/faulty power connector that should be avoided, is that true?
Any GPU that uses the new 12VHPWR connectors is at risk. They are carrying huge amounts of power over a very small connector. There is much more room for error if they were to just use either more connector or physically larger connectors

Oh yeah, Sapphire's Nitro+ uses that connector...

Buy the one that you like the look of most and or the cheapest. The performance differences barely matter and you will not notice any fps difference when actually playing games since fps will fluctuate (same as nvidia cards) in every game unless you lock fps so it doesn't change. I personally try to buy hardware that is cheapest for my requirements and with the longest warranty available.
