Hey guys
So I was using my custom built pc for a couple of years and my GPU just died :( It was a Geforce GTX 260 (6 years of hard work)
My specifications are
1. MOBO: Gigabyte GA-890XA-UD3
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-890XA-UD3-rev-20#ov

2. CPU: AMD PHENOM II X4 840
3. RAM:8GB
4. HDD: Seagate 1TB

I am not aware how to choose a GPU since the options are limited. Please let me know. My budget is under 250$. This mobo has a 2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 interface . Would a Geforce GTX 1050ti be compatible?

Thanks

You'll be fine, that way you can (later) upgrade the rest of your system . The GTX 1050Ti will work...

Gigabyte GeForce GV-N960WF2-4GD Graphics Card - 4 GB

Maybe a little overkill, but allows for upgrades to your system and will hold out for a while before need a gpu upgrade

The Bus Support is for PCI Express 3.0. My MOBO won't support it. Since its the GTX 960.

Your system is getting really old, it will bottleneck all the new generations of GPU's. Don't get me wrong if you buy the GTX 1050Ti you'll be able to play games just fine, but your GPU wont be using his full potential because your CPU can't handle it.

Oh...That's fine with me. If it won't cause any harm to the other components I have no issues. I have a horrible monitor which is barely 720p lol
