Hello friends, I have acer x3950 with I3 540 and 2gb of ram without a dedicated gpu. I want to upgrade it to run Fortnite and overwatch with good fps. Can someone help me with finding a good stuff for my old pc because I just want to play overwatch and fortnite, the budget is around 100-150 dollars. Pls help me.... oh and the socket is 1156

Solution
Thanks for your reply, I heard that GTX 750 uses very low power so what do you think? I don’t have a lot of money to but another pc and replace stuff etc... pls I need help I just have around 150$
Indeed, the gtx 750 uses 55w, but you would need a low profile variant, which can go for $100 on it's own. You would also have to get more ram and a better cpu to prevent the massive stuttering. In the end it may not even work as the psu is so old that it has probably lost a fair amount of wattage and who knows if it would be able to sustain the load.

Are you in you the United States?
The reason I suggested the pre-built 3010/7010/9010MT and other variants, is because they can be be had for well under $100. Those pre-builts will come...
The pc you've got on your hands is sff, meaning it will only accept low profile gpu's, that paired with a meager 220w psu that at this point can probably only push 180w or so. You could possibly pick up a gt 730, but the experience will be miserable.
I paired a pentium g2030(similar performance to your i3) once with a r5 250, and the performance in OW and fortnite was abysmal.

You would probably best be served by getting a larger pre-built pc used via ebay or otherwise. Something like a optiplex 7010 MT or other similar systems. You can then pickup something like a used rx550 or other low power gpu.

Honestly, I don't think $150 will do it. For decent framerates, you'll need a new GPU, CPU, RAM at a minimum.

Yeah you right, never thought of that... But how about the Xeon X3470 and gtx 750 1gb with 8 gb of ram ddr3, their price is 85.62$. Do you think it’s enough for mine?

What's the exact GTX 750? It has to be low-profile and single-slot. It can't just be a regular 750.

I would also not bet any money on a Xeon X3470 working on this build. You have a budget motherboard, proprietary to Acer, which means there's a very good chance that it won't run anything Xeon. You also have a tight power situation and I certainly wouldn't run anything with a TDP higher than the 73W of your current CPU.

Anything more powerful than an i3-560 is going to be a gamble on this motherboard. And it's not worth bothering with an upgrade from an i3-530 to an i3-560.

With a GTX 750, you're likely looking at under 40 FPS at times on Overwatch at 720p. The RAM is also a problem. You need 4 GB of RAM just to meet the minimum specs.

Honestly, the age of these components and the fact that it's a pre-built with poor upgrade options are working strongly against you here. You can't cheaply make a prebuilt 2010 PC into a 2019 budget gaming PC.

It’s alright, I will have to wait and get a better pc then, I just wanted to play the next two months with any pc until I get a very good pc. Thanks bro and sorry for bothering ♥️♥️

Honestly, if you're getting a brand new PC in two months, you'll get far more bang for the buck adding $150 to that one rather than this one!
