Whenever I plug in my USB drive to the computer and open it, I can only see a shortcut of the USB Drive itself. The only way around to access my files is to always do the "Attrib" thing on cmd which is troublesome, and I want to get rid of the virus. I tried scanning with malwarebytes & Avira. But always says my PC is clean. :\

Using Windows 7 by the way.

Test the drive on another PC to verify things that the USB drive is OK. You can download the rescue boot disk from Avira and run that by booting off it and running the scan.
Did you scan the USB drive or the local computer drive?

Copy your files from the thumb drive, delete the partition on the drive, create a new one and format it again for use.

Keep in mind if there is a virus and the anti-virus programs can't find it, copying you files may just copy the virus. Best thing to do is just wipe all the files form the drive along with the format. You should have backups or originals of the drive anyway, keeping your only copy of a file on an external drive is just waiting for something to go wrong.

Both, I've scanned both USB drive and the HDD. It didn't fixed the problem. As of formatting the USB it didn't solve it too.

Once you delete all partitions on the USB drive and format them, there should be no virus on the drives. If there is a virus, it's on the computer you are using. Do these USB drives do the same thing if you use them on another computer? Are you sure that the files are not hidden when you put them on the drive to begin with?

There are no hidden files on the drive. But even whenever I format the USB drive the problem is still there. So I guess the problem is with the computer. What should I do? I run avira and malwarebytes but it never really removed the problem.
