Depends on what games you're talking about. If the current AAA or AA or A listed games are on your shortlist, then no. If you're talking about older titles, then perhaps with the lowest possible settings(and resolution).

FYI, you forgot to include the SKU and make of the laptop. Without it, this thread is a little too vague. If you can parse a link to the laptop in question, that'd help.
