I want to install three OS in a 20GB HDD, Win2000, WinME and SuSe Linux 7.1. I am new to this fdisk thing and partitioning. So i create three different partition and they are all primary? or 1 primary and the other two logical? Also which OS sould i install first?

Please help!!!!

Well for starters, your first partition is your primary DOS partition (C:). I'm not positive which Windows should get this one, but I wouldn't put the Linux stuff on it.

Perhaps you should try with just two OSs until you get the hang of it.

Your second partition is your "extended" partition. This can further be partitioned into other "logical drives".

Since you're using FDISK, you can only create 1 primary. That has to be for Win98. Then, the extended partition should have 2 logical: 1 for Windows 2000, and the other for Linux. Install in this order - Win98, Win2K, Linux...

That's it in a nutshell. But, for more ease and functionality, I suggest purchasing Partition Magic 6.0 from PowerQuest. It also includes software (BootMagic) so you can dual (or in your case, triple) boot you machine.

Ok, i got partition pro and i can set 3 partitions primary. But one is active and the other are hidden. That means that i cannot see the other two partition from the third? Also the logical partition can boot a OS? I think only primary could do that.

Thanks for your replies
