Hey everyone!

I’m putting together a gaming PC that will primarily be used for gaming (chunky titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, GTA, Baldur’s Gate 3, and maybe some VR in the future), but also for light multitasking, web browsing, and some photo editing. I’m not chasing ultra-premium gear, just solid performance that can handle modern games at high settings without turning into a space heater.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

This build is well under my $5K budget, and I plan to build it in the next month or so (not just for Black Friday deals). I’ll also be visiting Micro Center soon to check out monitors, especially something that works well for gaming and general productivity—bonus if it’s easy on the eyes since I wear glasses.

I’d love your feedback:

  1. Are there any weak links or missed opportunities that could improve performance or future-proofing?
  2. Is liquid cooling worth it? I’m not sure if I need it, but I’m open to the idea if it’s worth the investment.
  3. Any specific monitor recommendations? I’m looking for something good for gaming with clear visuals, but also comfortable for multitasking and light photo editing.
