Hello,
I woke up this morning with a dead computer. My roommate says the power flashed last night. My computer was plugged into a UPS, and everything else plugged into that is fine (as is the UPS).
Step 0 - Nothing happened when I turned on the PC.
I tried to test the PSU but it doesn't have a fan...so...started with a new PSU! Just picked it up, plugged it in.
Step 1 - Tried new, known good PSU. PSU fan spins and VGA card fan spins. Nothing else happens.
At this point, im thinking the motherboard is shot. The VGA card is getting power from a PCI-E cable direct from the PSU. The motherboard on button is still working, but other than that, no dice.
My next step is to replace the motherboard. Anything I'm missing?
Thank you
