I want to upgrade my pc however I don't know what should I do.

My pc specs:

Ryzen 7 3700x with stock cooler

msi rtx 2070 super

motherboard B450 AORUS M

ram corsair vengeance lpx 16Gb (2x8) 3000MHZ

PSU corsair cx750, 750W, 80 plus bronze

500gb
ssd and a 1tb hdd

and a generic case which I will change for a new one, I accepting suggestions if you have one.

also I thinking about buying a nvmi ssd of 1tb, and exchange my hdd for one with 4tb

I can't spend a lot of money, I form brazil and everything here is very expensive, so I want to upgrade what is necessary for a better gaming experience on new titles going foward, I buid this rig back in 2019 and still doing fine but is start to struggle on some new titles.

thanks for the help alredy! and sory for the bad english.

i would say upgrading from 3700x to 5600 is not very meaningful and big enough upgrade even though its a really cheap solution and you will see some improvements
especially when it comes to 1% lows and fps drops
(average fps will not change much though).
5600 has faster single core performance but you will be cutting down from 8/16 cpu to 6/12 .
i suggest going for the best the platform has to offer = ryzen 5700X3D/5800X3D .
that would be a really good upgrade although more expensive of course
you can get a better gpu down the line . X3D processors are good enough for even a high end graphics cards ,
while 5600 is not really good enough for new rtx xx80 video cards or the best radeons .

You are in that weird, mid-range from a few years ago situation. To get a meaningful upgrade means replacing most of the core components to something above the budget entry level.

You could drop in a new GPU and PSU, but the trick will be getting a GPU that offers a performance improvement in your budget. And you should be replacing the CX750 at this point, it is past its warranty and was a middle grade offering to start with.

You could do something like a 4060 Ti, or even the 5060 Ti. That would be okay. But to get into the RTX 5070 or RX 9070 is a good chunk of your budget with a direct conversion, let alone the street price in Brazil, if available.

5700X3D wouldn't be the worst upgrade ever if you are having trouble running games at any graphics settings.

Doubling the system memory to 32GB would be advisable as well, and getting a 3200 CL16 kit would be pretty cheap, though 3600 CL18 would be a bit better.

Or keep that system intact, and sell it for what you can and add that to your future savings to get a more impactful upgrade.

I calculate your budget to be $880 or so.
What kinds of games do you play?
Some games are graphics limited like fast action shooters.
Others are cpu core speed limited like strategy, sims, and mmo.
Multiplayer tends to like many threads.

Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

If you need a graphics upgrade, your 750w psu may not be sufficient.
On the cpu side, 5800X or 5800X3d might be reasonable.
More than that, you will need a motherboard change as well as a processor change.

I’d say if you’re upgrading this system get a 5700x3d, a good psu and see about getting either a second had 6800xt or 3080ti or a new B580.

Alternatively keep this setup for a bit and migrate to AM5 (or maybe AM6 when that’s out) or the equivalent Intel platform for a really significant upgrade.

3080 Ti at 350W is a bit much to ask of a CX750. Even if it has the wattage, it doesn't have the current spike protection needed for 30/40/50 series high end cards.

Now you can power limit the 3080 Ti, that is what I do during the summer months. But generally I wouldn't go above 70 class cards while keeping the CX750, if you get a new PSU, something with a decent 7-10 year warranty at 850W, then yes, 3080 Ti will do. Though something like a 4070 Super would also perform a little better, even the 5070 wouldn't be a bad choice, but is likely over budget.

To start with, I would double the RAM to 32GB of DDR4 3200 or faster, and look at getting a 2TB SSD for games storage. Then I would look at upgrading the CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, lastly I would look at upgrading the GPU. For the GPU you want something thats at least around double the performance of your RTX 2070 super. So an RX 6800 (XT), 7700 XT, 7800XT, 7900 GRE, 7900 XT, 9070 (XT) or an RTX 3080, 4070, or 5070 (ti) would max out your system performance wise, and last you for a few years. I would not recommend getting a GPU with less than 12GB VRAM though, 8GB is already starting to suffer on the higher detail settings in newer games. Doubling your RAM, and swapping to SSD storage may get you the improvements you were looking for, before you start getting into the more expensive upgrades.

Below is an RX 9070 review with a bunch of cards compared to each other, your card performs very similarly to the RX 6600 on that list.

If you go the route of the 3080, definitely get a 3080ti 12gb. The 3080 10gb might be ok but what about a year or two from now?

I know you’re from Brazil, but you may consider looking at new cards like the 5060ti 16gb. I know I’d been looking at cards but a used 3080 in the USA was about $400. I happened to find a 5060ti 16gb at Microcenter for the msrp of $429 and grabbed it. Even in the USA those deals are few and far better but they are out there.
