Hi, I'm looking for a more powerful processor for my laptop.

It's an acer aspire v3-471. Currently i'm having an i3-3110m processor. Socket 988B rPGA (Socket G2)
TDP 35W, Ivy Bridge with HM77 chipset.

I found an i7 -3632QM processor that have the same socket, tdp, chipset and ivy bridge.

should i upgrade my laptop because it's very slow now ?

upgrading laptops is often something a bit of a controversy as the majority are not made to upgraded, perhaps the RAM or SSD and all, but the reason you pc is feeling slow is a combo of processor + gpu, gone is the day that the windows itself and elements on websites and all didnt used much rendering power, graphics card doesn't render 3D stuff only, but 2D as well, now assuming you certainly can't add a gpu there, you'll have to stick to the graphic that comes within the processor itself, sure upgrading to a better processor might comes with a better integrated GPU, but often superior CPU's in mhz or core wise use the same gpu, so personally, sticking to the gen 3 and its integrated graphics won't bring you anything that worth it, specially because we're talking laptops and they tend to be low powered oriented, while in desktops they have much more room to add higher W consuming ones with more bang for the buck.

my personal suggestion would to retire the lap, sell, save some bucks and get new one.
