Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my shitty pc to a "little" better pc, Im thinking these
These are my current specs:
i5 2320
amd hd7850 sapphire 1gb vram
8 gb ram (2x4)
fujitsu D2990-A1
500watt psu
500gb hdd

these will be my new specs:
i5 2500k
GTX 1060
8gb ram(2x4)
fujitsu D2990-A1
500w psu
500gb hdd
120gb ssd

Are these good upgrades?, WIll i finally be able to play ark without lag on medium/high? And is it worth it?

Solution
Yes, should be fine I would think for your settings. Seems like a good combo if the price is right. However, the CPU itself isn't all that much faster than your current since no overclock and 300Mhz difference. I would still consider the i7 myself. Not sure of your budget though. I'd update the UEFI to latest version before the swap to be of latest compatibility updates.
8GB is fine today for a mid-range setup. 16GB is becoming the standard for high-end gaming setups. However, most setups wouldn't benefit as other components hold back. If your board supports it, I'd consider an i7 model if possible for the extra threads that more modern games can utilize. The 1060 should be a nice match for CPU as well on reasonable settings.

My motherboard supports some i7's like i7 2600k, however userbenchmark says the i5 is like 4% better.

I wouldn't go by the that info exclusively. The i7 is definitely better in games in games that can use the threads, though not all games will use the extra 4 threads. Just a bit better longevity overall for your platform. Still, pricing and your CPU cooler could be deciding factors.

its the stock cooler for i5 2320, but i think it works for the other cpus.

does fujitsu D2990-A1 alow overclocking? and how high can i get with stock cooler at a stable number

So should i just roll with stock i5 and 1060 3gb?

im busing these things used for a total 155€
1060 3gb = 120€
i5 2500k = 35€
How do i update to the latest version of UEFI

did you see anything about overclocking? btw i can get the i5 2500k or i7 2600k. im paying 10€ more for the i7... is the threads worth it?

Your board is the H61 chipset. It does not support overclocking. Very basic board and chipset. I would get the i7 myself. Again, certain modern games will utilize the extra threads for higher FPS and overall performance. Even ones that don't would benefit from higher clockspeed of the i7.

Alright, I'll try to get that one, AND if i wanna upgrade to a cheap budget overclocking mobo, which one should i go for? (future)

Sounds like a good plan if the price is right for your current upgrade. Regarding future, not sure on what to recommend there. These boards have been long obsolete, and are likely quite expensive on the used market. At a future point, I'd set that money aside to a new platform all together if I were my decision.

So should i save the money? and get more and get something fully new?

That's really something you would have to decide. It really depends on what you are will to spend or how long you wanted to save. The components we've been talking about should be ok for awhile yet. Any decent GPU though in the future will be held back by the CPU and platform in general though, if not to some degree already in 1080P gaming in CPU bound situations.

I really want to play ark on at least medium settings xD, ive waited for years...literally years. How will the pc handle it? and what settings-fps.
