Without a program like xpadder which requires that you set it up, button by button, the game must have native support(called XInput). Here is a list of games that have that support: XInput List. If they have XInput support, you should be able to plug the controller in(do this first) and then start the game with XInput support. Should be good after that. You may have to go into settings in the game, to switch it to use "xbox controller" or just "controller".
