I have a Ryzen 1600 And a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite with 2x8 ddr4 2666 but I saw a sale for 2x16 3200. Will my motherboard support it? I have like 7 hours to cancel order,
Thanks

Here is the Memory QVL list for your motherboard with a Ryzen 1000 cpu (the memory controller is on the CPU itself so you need to take the chip you are using into account as well as the mobo):

Looking at that, the memory controller on the Ryzen first gen cpu's doesn't like going much over 2933.... that doesn't mean that the 3200 kit won't work, however you will probably have to run it at either 2933 or 2666 instead of 3200 - so I guess it depends if you are...

One thing to keep in mind, if you decide to upgrade your cpu to a newer generation (e.g. Ryzen 3000 series), those cpu's have stronger memory support than first gen so you will probably be able to run it at 3200 mhz after the update.

Edit: Here is the Ryzen 3000 memory support for your motherboard:

Note that with the newer cpu you can use p to DDR4 3600 memory no problems.

That’s a relief, as long as I can hit 2666 it’s fine with me. My real concern was that one stick is 16GB and theirs 2 of them and I thought my motherboard wouldn’t be able to read it and yes I just need more capacity , Photoshop and Lightroom take a lot of it.
