whats is the highest frequency limitation of Athlon II X2 270 ??my MOBO supports 1600, i have 1600 mhz DDR3 RAM and now its running at 1066mhz with 7-7-7-19 timings and 1.46v. People says, manually overclock it on bios, but what frequency, timings and voltage should i put ??
PLEASE ANSWER THANKS !!!

Solution
Your ram is actually ment to run 7-7-7-20 @1.65v @1600mhz
Try running it at 1333mhz 7-7-7-20 @1.53v (still nice tight timings)
run prime95 or better memtest86+ to check for stability.
If not fully stable then loose timings (for example 7-8-7-24)

thank you for replying,
what is denib chip ? is it safe to go to 1333mhz or 1600mhz without damaging my components ?? and whats the good timing and good voltage for 1333mhz or 1600mhz , please answer thanks!!!

AMD Phenoms were based on the Deneb architecture and they officially supported 1333mhz ram. Your cpu is also based on deneb. The difference between your cpu and phenoms is that your chip is missing L3 cache. Your cpu should handle 1333mhz nicely. I recommend you go for 1333mhz and tight timings. The timings depend on your ram. What is the brand and model of your ram?

crucial udimm 1600mhz 1.5 v i dont know the model, the case didnt say it.
can you tell me the good timings and voltage after the details details i told you ??
if not just give me an idea for a good timings and voltage. thanks !!

thank you for responding again ! i want it to be at 1333mhz to be more safe,
and i have CL7 so whats the best TIMINGS for CL7 at 1333mhz ??
and my voltage is at AUTO, the only good option are 1.467v and 1.533 which should i choose ??
and i see, if you have CL8 = 8-8-8 and if you have CL9 = 9-9-9- and can you explain
why last timings change to 19 to 24 ??? PLEASE ANSWER THANKS !!
