Help my CPU is overheating in bios

I installed my system recently it's a i7 8700k with the corsair h100i v2 it had pre applied thermal paste. So I installed it and after booting up the PC I look in my bios the CPU temp is rising 1 degree at a time it reached over 80 C so I shut it off immediately so I thought maybe the thermal paste is bad so I bought a new thermal paste from Amazon Noctua NT-H1 Pro-Grade Thermal Compound Paste (Gray) 1.4 ml and I put a small dot in the middle of the CPU and then reinstalled the cooler and I made sure the rear bracket and all the components for the cooler were installed properly and still I get the same results how can I know if my pump for the corsair cooler is working or not also the fans on the liquid cooler radiator run fine
And one more thing when I go to hardware monitor in my bios the CPU fan is 0 I even tried switching to the pump fan and i get the same thing also I change the fan speed in the bios to full speed and it made no difference

I took off the cooling fan and it's the same so maybe my pump is bad I order a replacement I'll install it and see how it goes

There is no problems with your actual setup at all...A couple of things you can do, can you tell me exactly what the temps are at idle when you get into Windows?

Use RealTemp and Hardware Info....HardwareInfo will also be able to tell you the speed the pump is running at, though you should also be able to see the pump speed in the BIOS...something around 2000RPM...

In terms of the Corsair Cooler, just to be clear as I assume you have double and triple checked the connections with the Pump Power cable going to the CPU Fan header on the motherboard...

I'm not able to install windows because the CPU will overheat in a couple of mins and the cables are connected to the CPU fan header but in the motherboard no matter what header I connect it to it reads 0 rpm fan

remove the old stuff with alcohol and apply again as i instructed,

if it doesnt work try RMAing the motherboard.

I did a rma for both the motherboard and cooler they should arrive in a day or two I'll let you know what happens

It seems like the pump was not working. The fact that it rose seems like the pump was not circulating the coolant. Your mobo seems fine but everything should work now. Note: make sure the pipes are on the bottom if you are vertically mounting it for a better flow

My motherboard was fine it turned out to be the water pump from the corsair now I got it replaced and my temp in bios is 18 C
